People sometimes ask me what I do. I’m a songwriter. A performer. Composer. Builder. Speaker. But those are just the tools. At the heart of everything I do is one purpose:

Craig Taubman is a songwriter, composer, producer, and community builder whose career spans nearly five decades. His work in television and entertainment includes music for Disney’s Toontown, HBO’s Happily Ever After, and Fox’s Rimba’s Island. An influential voice in contemporary Jewish music, Craig has created an extensive catalog of recordings and songs sung in communities around the world. His Friday Night Live helped introduce a new sound and spirit to the contemporary Shabbat experience. Craig is the creator of Jewels of Elul and, with his wife Louise, founder of the Pico Union Project in Los Angeles, a multicultural community bringing people together through music, food, faith, conversation, and service. He also serves as a Los Angeles County Commissioner on the Citizens’ Economy and Efficiency Commission, appointed by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
